Stevie is by far the saddest flood victim we've run across.
He was found a few days after the flooding in a park that was badly flooded. We don't know if he was already there, or was dumped afterward, but thankfully, he was close to the walking trail that wasn't flooded, and a good samaritan found him.
He was skinny, had bad skin, eye, and ear infections, and was completely blind. We don't know if he was already blind, or was blinded by the floods, but regardless, we can only imagine what he's been through.
He's put on some weight, his infections have been cleared up, but he's still blind. He needs to go to the doggie opthamologist, but there is only one in the Nashville area, and they're good, but expensive. Just to have him seen and have basic tests run will cost at least $800, but we can't really do anything else with him until we know why he's blind and if it's reversible.
He is a precious little guy. About 5 months old, only 20 pounds, we have no clue what breed he is. He lives to cuddle and he's still learning how to get around, but he likes to follow his person around. He is in a great foster home, being spoiled by kids. Now there's just one piece left for him to be able to find the forever home that he deserves.
